arctic monkeys artefacts 4020
With Arctic Monkeys Artefacts 4020, we imagine a post-anthropocentric future shaped by the crises of our time. In collaboration with Anthony Authié (Zyva Studio), we created a speculative narrative with our furniture, staged as an extraterrestrial archaeological site on an uninhabitable Earth in the year 4020.
These artefacts reflect a world where objects become subjects, blending soft, organic forms with rigid, mechanical structures. Inspired by AI (Steven Spielberg), Metropolis, and Le Petit Prince, our work explores the tension between human nature and machine logic—suggesting that our desires, ambitions, and love of things may hold the key to our survival.
